Connect to Marketing Cloud

From your Installed Package (e.g. mc1234abcdef)
Business Unit MID — found in Setup > Company Settings
How to create an Installed Package
  1. In Marketing Cloud, go to Setup → Apps → Installed Packages
  2. Click New, enter a name (e.g. "AMP Compiler"), click Save
  3. Click Add Component → select API Integration
  4. Choose Server-to-Server integration type, click Next
  5. Set the following Scopes:
    • Data Extensions — Read, Write
    • Assets — Read (for Content Block access)
    • Contacts — Read (for Subscriber attributes)
  6. Click Save
  7. Copy the Client ID, Client Secret, and Authentication Base URI
  8. The Subdomain is the first part of the Authentication Base URI:
    https://mc1234abcdef.auth.marketingcloudapis.com
Synchronized Data Extensions

To browse rows in Synchronized Data Extensions (enterprise-owned DEs shared across Business Units), the Installed Package must have access to the parent Business Unit.
In Setup → Installed Packages → your package → Access, select either the parent BU or enable "Allow access to all accounts".

How to create a Connected App
  1. In Salesforce, go to Setup → search External Client App Manager
  2. Click New External Client App
  3. Fill in Name, API Name, and Contact Email
  4. Check Enable OAuth Settings
  5. Set Callback URL to:
    loading... (click to copy)
  6. Add OAuth Scopes: Manage user data via APIs (api) and Perform requests at any time (refresh_token)
  7. Under Security, check:
    • Require Secret for Web Server Flow
    • Require Secret for Refresh Token Flow
    • Require Proof Key for Code Exchange (PKCE)
  8. Click Save, then wait 2-10 minutes for propagation
  9. Go back to the app → Manage Consumer Details → copy Consumer Key and Consumer Secret
